About the Role:

Brave Federal Technologies is looking for a seasoned Collaboration Architect to rearchitect the current Unified Communication (UC) environment to a next-generation platform. This position is instrumental in driving critical migrations, troubleshooting technical roadblocks, and ensuring the smooth flow of technical operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Re-architect and design next-gen Unified Communications platforms
  • Serve as the principal liaison between the engineering teams and the client, focusing on improving end-user experience
  • Resolve intricate voice and video issues, manage system upgrades and ensure high-level system reliability
  • Work on SIP, H323, and VCS functionalities
  • Lead engineering project management and technology service management initiatives
  • Handle technical escalations and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR)

Skills and Expertifications:

  • Extensive experience in Cisco Collaboration and UCS products
  • A proven track record in engineering delivery and project management
  • Expertise in Unified Communications Design and Architecture
  • Hands-on experience with WAN technologies, network services, and routing protocols
  • High-level certifications like CCNP Collaboration are a must
  • Veteran status is preferred but not required
  • Proximity to the USMS HQ (Arlington, VA) is advantageous

Educational Qualifications:

  • Masters or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in UC solutions, architectural optimization, and providing expert technical support
  • At least 5 years in a similar role, focusing on public sector projects, is strongly preferred

Senior Voice to Teams Engineer

Location: Hybrid / Washington DC Metro Area

Responsibilities/ Skills/ Experience Required

The Senior Teams Voice Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Leadership in Voice Communication Systems: In charge of designing, deploying, and maintaining voice communication systems, including VoIP, unified messaging, and teleconferencing systems. The primary focus is to lead a federal enterprise-wide migration from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams.

  • Technical Mastery: Extensive experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, and PowerShell is essential.

  • Advanced Configuration and Deployment: Expertise in deploying and configuring Microsoft Teams Phone with PSTN connectivity through Direct Routing.

  • Device Management and Voice Migration: Ability to manage Teams-certified devices, as well as oversee audio/video conferencing and voice migration projects.

  • Vendor Management: Lead collaborations with telephony providers and third-party vendors to enable advanced voice features in Microsoft Teams.

  • Workload Management: Must be capable of working with administrators in other sectors such as networking, identity, licensing, security, and compliance.

  • Tier 2 Support: Provide higher-level technical support for voice-related issues and system maintenance.

  • Expertise in Cisco Systems: Must be proficient in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, and IM&P.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Responsible for developing and maintaining detailed voice network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
